Gaceta of Cuba published a legislation informing that TRD Caribe retail stores are allowed to offer services of public connection to Internet to their clients. The regulation has not been shared through the formal communication channels used by the government but it has indeed been registered. It responds to a request raised by TRD Caribe to the Ministry of Communications. TRD Caribe retail stores are authorized to offer Internet services via the Nauta platform but given the MINCOM did not release the information formally, it is difficult to define whether it responds to an effort to increase connectivity in the island or if it relates to a commercial strategy tailored by TRD to gain more customers.
